Gary Triplett spent a decade as a professor of English at a university in South Korea. While there, teaching Korean students and, at times, Chinese, Japanese and even a Russian student, he really came to appreciate the diversity and yet commonality of people. Nationality, ethninticity, culture; these are just surface things--inside is a person pursuing their dreams of acceptance and happiness. It is no fairer to judge a person by skin color than a book by its cover. The strength of Silvantana's story is exactly this, and the dream of bringing it to you is Gary's pursuit of happiness.

The planet named
Aer'ferala by its inhabitants does not yet appear on any star chart. It exists in its own pocket universe at the end of a wormhole somewhere past the Sol sector. The planet is currently home to at least five sentient species, two native and three alien.
Aer'ferala exists on the outside edge of the habitable zone around a blue dwarf star and has a single tidelocked moon. The planet has large polar caps and a relatively narrow temperate zone around the planet's equator. Most of the planet's population is concentrated in a mountain and river-bordered forestland unoriginally called "the Midlands", and it's generally agreed the races of Aer'ferala will soon be in competition for the planet's limited resources.
